With open hearts and open minds, we seek to do life together. We ask questions, explore our faith, and trust in Christ. We are an inclusive, down-to- earth community of believers committed to justice, mercy, and love. We are rooted in tradition. We worship with creativity and imagination, keeping an eye open for the new things God is doing in our midst. No matter your age, race, culture, orientation, gender, identity, politics, beliefs or preferences, you are welcome at Northminster! Please join us in God's work in the Beloved Community!
The Nominating Committee has begun their work of seeking nominations for the officer class of 2021. Nominations from the congregation are invited and encouraged. A ruling elder serves a term of three years on the Session, which governs the church's budget, programming, and property. Ruling elders serve on one of the five ministry teams which meet regularly (Care, Education, Justice & Mission, Stewardship and Worship). A deacon also serves a term of three years on the Diaconate, which addresses needs related to congregational care. Those nominated must be a member of the congregation. It's helpful to ask someone if they are willing to serve before you nominate them!
